Maine Historical Society’s Longfellow Birthday Party

Join the Maine Historical Society for a family party to celebrate Longfellow's 203rd birthday! Special guests include:

• Irwin Gratz, Maine Public Broadcasting Network's local host of NPR’s Morning Edition;
• Portland Mayor Nick Mavodones; and
• State Representative Herb Adams.

They will read from Longfellow's poetry, and there will be Longfellow-inspired performances by puppeteer Blainor McGough and musical act Over A Cardboard Sea.

There will also be craft activities, prizes, cake, and a birthday card for Henry for everyone to sign.

The party is free and open to the public. It will be held on February 27 from 10am to 12pm at the Maine Historical Society in Portland.
