Longfellow Birthday Celebration, Cambridge, Mass.
Story Chapel, Mount Auburn Cemtery
10:00 am - 12 noon

Longfellow National Historic Site, Mount Auburn Cemetery, and partners welcome the public to its annual celebration of the poet’s legacy.

This year Nick Littlefield, former aide to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, and Charles Ansbacher of the Boston Landmarks Orchestra will offer a multimedia presentation on the late senator’s fondness for “Paul Revere’s Ride” and narration of that poem to the orchestra’s musical setting.

Tea and coffee will be served at 9:30, and after the presentation there will be birthday cake in the chapel and a wreath-laying ceremony at the Longfellow family plot. Appropriate for children and families.
